The Anonymous Email Utility

The anonymous email utility, as displayed above will allow you to send difficult to trace emails to just about anyone.  The interface works just like any email program would and should be familiar to anyone that knows how to send email.  Little support is offered for this utility and it may be removed in the next release of Onux.  Good luck, and enjoy it while it lasts.

Here is only a brief description of how the Anonymous Emailer works.

Mail Settings: You can select between using the Default Mail Server settings built into the program which may not always work in some cases, or use the Custom Mail Server settings which expand your possibilities. Also, the field to the far right is where you would type in the false address.

Custom Mail Server Configuration:
1) SMTP or ESMTP - this selection allows you to chose between which protocol you which to use.

2) Ports - Normally email is sent out of Port 25, however in some cases you may configure your mail server for a different port.  Ports can be added and subtracted from the Ports List at will.

3) From Address - The address from which you are sending from which does not necessarily mean this address is correct.  Rather an address in some cases that is recognized by the mail server.

4) Mail Server URL or IP Address - This field is where you would type in the name of the Mail Server, such as mail.cronoslogic.com or you may use an IP address such as 000.000.000.000.

Mail Server Script Mode: This feature is probably the most powerful aspect of the Anonymous Email Utility as it allows you to use mail scripts to send email, rather than the limitations that most email programs offer.  Email scripting is rather easy after you learn the protocol and can allow you to do things with email that you normally wouldn't be able to do.  (Refer to RFC 821 for the SMTP Protocol. More information about updates to the email protocols is readily available on the internet as well.  RFC 821 will get you started though.)

Mail Setup: This area should be the most familiar area in this interface and works the same as any email program.  No explanation is required here.

Server Messages: For every command that is sent by the Anonymous Email Utility, a response is returned from the mail server you're connected to.  This area displays those return messages and can assist in what may be going wrong with your sending mail.  Be warned that sometimes mail servers will simply reject any unauthorized connected and simply disconnect you without any messages returned.

IMPORTANT: This anonymous emailer is designed with the intent that the user is responsible enough to realize that abusing this anonymous emailer will only result in the loss of his/her ISP account.  It should be noted that while you can play pranks on friends for fun and do a few other neat things with this utility, it will not mask your IP address.  Your IP address will still remain in tact and can be traced directly back to you.  So, if you have any intentions of using this utility for anything other than somewhat anonymous communications between friends, you may find yourself losing your ISP account or worse, find yourself in handcuffs.  Be responsible and play nice as CronosLogic takes no responsibility for your actions!

MCP: End of line.
